A system parallel to the nervous system. I wonder what the evolutionary story of this is. I wonder how far back in evolutionary history some kind of consciousness is linked to the system.
Interestingly, you'll find some of that information in the recent article, Going Deeper. The more ancient system is linked to the 'reptilian brain.' It has been well established through the initial work of Robert O Becker, The Body Electric. There's a lot of science in that book, however, the understanding is that our fascia connects deeply to the more commonly known nervous system through a perineural system.... again... Going Deeper.
There will be more info developed at the series continues...
Thanks Sarah! So, so interesting. Nothing I even learned in school for being a therapist. Of course that was end of years ago so this is a lot of new information for a lot of clinicians. Thanks so much for sharing. Joyce.
Thank you Joyce. This is what i hope for... that I can provide some insight that is simply not quite 'out there' yet, even though it's been established for over 20 years. It takes time to get significant information into a place where change can occur.
I passed it on to awesome, my friend Ann who is the painter in New Orleans that I go to visit frequently. She thanked me and I think she sent you also a message. I’ll have to check. Very interesting!

Hey Joyce! Thanks. You've mentioned your awesome friend Ann. I look forward to meeting her one day. You... me.... NOLA... could be a thing!
Maybe sometime in the fall. I’ll ask Anne.
